good folks + good yoga + good creative space = a good wednesday evening
Founder of Vanyasa Yoga & Community & yoga instructor, Kelly, will be holding space for the feeling of connection that Vanyasa is all about to Wild East Brewing on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at 6:30 pm. Recharge that midweek energy with a sweet lil community hangout space-- embrace a slow & stretchy yoga flow followed by a supportive space for art making in one of Gowanus' best hangs. Bring old friends, make new ones, and jump into the adventure of doing something new- we love some mid-week self care!
Our evening will be themed around the intention of OPENNESS. You will be guided in exploring what that means/feels like within your mind, body, & heart both on and off your mat space, creatively.
You can expect:
-45 minute gentle yoga session: we will lean into that sense of OPENNESS as we turn inwards and create ease in our bodies. you will be encouraged (always) to do what feels good & flow freely, without judgement or expectation.
-after, feel free to grab a drink (NA or A) from our friends at Wild East
-1 hour guided creative expression activity: we will carry the exploration of OPENNESS forwards energy and diver deeper with some creative journaling! We will create & explore freely through words, colors, imagery, etc (don't worry-- supplies, prompts, and some support is always provided!!)
This space encourages you to focus on the process of yoga and creating art above the pressure of creating a 'product'. We treasure the journey and the freedom in creative expression through our movement, bodies, and art above all else-- exploring whatever rises up and emerges along the way! Connect with new pals in this supportive co-created community space.

Don't worry if you're a 'beginner' in either yoga or art – this event is open to all folks, with love. So grab your yoga mat and join us at Wild East for an opportunity to connect to Self, community, and creativity in a way that honors your inner alignment and sparks some peace and joy!
Event payment is on a sliding scale of $15-$35, so pay what you can using the donation option via tickets on this page. Your donation is greatly appreciated and allows this space to be built and stocked with supplies for the community. This event is non-refundable.
